Holistic solution to teaching Hebrew as a second language
IVRIKAL is an initiative that grew out of a desire to help teachers who wish to integrate authentic material in their Hebrew class.
We offer authentic content and 21st century learning assignments in a way that enables teachers to integrate the materials into an existing program or to build a new program based on the conceptual continuum in which the topics appear in the themes.
Themes are sub-units of teaching material
IVRIKAL’s themes are sub-units of core-topic content which present authentic, up-to-date learning material.
Each theme is presented in three proficiency levels that include various authentic Hebrew and Israeli teaching material: Texts and video clips (including scripts), grammar, vocabulary lists, assignments and games, “can do” lists, links to digital tools, Teachers’ Corner and an optional step-by-step PBL model for the specific theme.
