A note from the founder

Note From The Originator Of IVRIKAL

Ilana Shapira (M.A. Applied Linguistics)

I am fortunate to have worked as a Jewish education professional in North America for more than twenty-five years, in various roles; as a teacher, an administrator, a teacher’s mentor and in curriculum development, primarily in Hebrew.

Having held various positions in Jewish Education in different schools and States, and as a mother of two wonderful daughters, I’ve experienced the challenges of teaching Hebrew as an additional language from different perspectives. This experience has lead me to develop IVRIKAL – a dynamic platform which presents an innovative way of learning Hebrew, while still adhering to internationally accepted standards for teaching foreign languages.

Our goal and commitment at IVRIKAL is to provide our users with an authentically Hebrew and Israeli learning experience, one which is engaging, and that advances our users towards everyday real-life Hebrew language usage.

Sincerely,

Ilana Shapira
